Life is not about getting to the destination, life is what happens to you on the way there.

This is the Fort. It was built by the Spanish, overtaken by the French, and then the Spanish took it back. Only two men ever died in battle here. It was abandoned until the 1920s when the National Park service took over. It's located on Rattlesnake Island. Interesting thing about this island is that when the fort was built - all the land would be under water at high tide and at low tide the water would be too shallow for the kids of boats they had. It was really well protected. Probably why only two casualties ever. .  Posted by Hello
